First Foundation Day passes by; Officer-General presents awards.

Recently, Alsann’s annual celebration of its founding day occurred for the first time. Albeit with little fanfare, the 9 September passed marking Alsann’s first Foundation Day. Thereby, Alsann is now more than a year old.

Foundation Day is intended to be marked with a more respectful, quiet celebration. Unfortunately, no such celebration could be arranged for this year so the ceremony will occur with the Independence Day (full independence from Australia) celebrations on 23 September.

Meanwhile, the new honours system implemented by the executive government is seeing its first use, appointing honourees to Orders and Awards.

This year’s Foundation Day allows the awarding of the first of our Alsane honours system. This day is marked by the giving of the Order of the Alsane Shield and the Alsane Service Medal, the highest overall honour and highest military honour respectively. We have some who have obtained this rank for this year.

The recipients of the Order of the Alsane Shield in 2023 are as follows: Officer-General Kalan Cameron del Kersika (for services to the Alsane nation in a variety of fields), Mackenzie Arra (for services to the Alsane nation in political and explorational fields) and Commander H Norman (for services to the Alsane nation in political and military fields). They are henceforth given the style AS, and will eventually obtain the Alsane Shield medallion.

The recipients of the Alsane Service Medal in 2023 are as follows: Officer-General Kalan Cameron del Kersika and Commander H Norman, each for their assistance in the military’s establishment. They are given the style ASM.

I would like to again congratulate this year’s recipients and I await the Independence Day awards of the Order of the Southern Cross, Alsane Award for Service and Honorary Officer’s Roll.

Update to Officer-General’s announcement:

As of 28 September 2023, it should be noted inductees to the Order of the Alsane Shield were taken to be Members of the Order, with opportunity for later ascent to Officer then Commander of the Order. As the order’s leader, the Officer-General is automatically promoted directly to Commander upon induction. – Officer-General Kalan Cameron del Kersika AS SC ASM AAS
